Fresh Bread

I haven't made any bread for a couple of weeks, because we are both dieting. But you need to have some around, so I made a fresh batch today. Normally, I do two loaves at a time (one for the freezer). It looks like I'll be making another batch tomorrow, because as soon as I pulled it out of the oven, I went a little nuts.

Fresh, homemade bread? Everyone has their limits, and I'm only human.

Coffee Snobs

A couple of weeks ago my coffee maker died. So, yesterday, we went shopping for a new one. It turned out to be much more frustrating than anticipated. All any of the shops had on offer were these huge, complicated espresso machines. One of them had a price tag of $5,000. WTFOMGBBQ!!11!11!!!

Now, anyone who knows me knows how much I love coffee. I bow to no one in my worship of that dark nectar. But, I've never been a coffee snob, and there is something deeply wrong in paying $5,000 for a coffee maker - even if I had that kind of money. Some people have more money than sense.

Finally, we found a regular old coffee maker at a store here in town. And, it's even programmable, so the coffee is brewed when I get up. Beautiful.
