Boy, time passes. Sorry for the break in posting.

So, by now everyone knows that Dick Cheney is a bad shot. The Smoking Gun is there, with the police report of the incident. According to Stephen(who is very knowledgeable about guns), the gun Cheney owns is around $50,000. Specially made, for use about one month a year( or however long quail season lasts). So he'll use this $50,000 gun maybe four times a year. In all the coverage I've seen, they say "Vice-President Cheney was involved in a hunting accident." What happened was, he shot someone in the face... but nobody seems to want to say that. Nobody, that is, except for The Daily Show.

So, we just got home from the hospital, and.... the cast is off. YAY! Now, I just have to relearn how to walk. Seriously. My knee wants to go backwards, and the muscles in that leg feel like overcooked noodles. But, every day it'll be better. I know it's still got a lot of healing to do. I'm just so farking happy to have that cast off.
Unfortunately, it will be another couple of months before I'm wearing high heels again. (Stephen is crushed, but he's bearing up bravely.) I just ordered the cutest pair from Zappos. Talk about wishful thinking.

Cute, no? Le sigh.

w00t! The Amazing Race is back at the end of this month, and it looks like this edition will kick ass! I'm so excited, I love this show. I would kill to be a contestant. Seriously.
It looks like they raced through here around Thanksgiving, possibly at Rottnest and Fremantle. We were in Fremantle around that time, I probably walked right past a route marker. This is the second time that's happened to me - Amazing Race 8 was in Canada just after I was there.
